Rich, floral, and unmistakably exotic, ylang-ylang (Cananga odorata) is a classic heart-centered oil—one that supports the heart both physically and emotionally.
Steam-distilled from the intensely fragrant, star-shaped flowers of the ylang-ylang tree, this oil has a long history of use for calming the nervous system and softening emotional tension. Its aroma is lush and intoxicating, yet deeply grounding, inviting the body to slow down and the heart to gently open.
Ylang-ylang is known for its ability to quiet the body, mind, and heart, making it a beautiful companion for meditation, emotional release, and moments of deep reflection.
Therapeutically, it has a unique relationship with the cardiovascular system and is often used to help calm a rapid heartbeat and restore a sense of internal harmony.
Because ylang-ylang is so rich and sweet, a little truly goes a long way. Used in excess, it may feel overwhelming or even cause a headache—think whisper, not shout when blending.
