Can't Find Your Favorite Immune Support Blend? Aromatherapy Recipes to Try with LabAroma Analysi

While there is no magic blend that is guaranteed to thwart the current coronavirus many essential oils do have anti viral and anti microbial properties and can also support immune health. Many essential oils have been shown to be effective against enveloped viruses such as the influenza virus and herpes virus -- so there is a good chance they can help against the corona virus in a non-specific way. Additionally essential oils can help support respiratory and immune health.

If you study the history of herbs and aromatic compounds there is a long history of spices and aromatic compounds being used to fumigate and protect people against all manner of plague, illness, and infections with success. Recently essential oils have gained popularity and the demand for special blends and certain oils during the current spread of corona virus has put a strain on the supply of some popular blends.

If you can't find your favorite immune blend -- don't fret. Try mixing up one of these blends for yourself:

Bandit Blend -- a certain MLM company actually trademarked the name "Thieves Oil" a long-standing blend created by aromatherapists and so aromatherapists are no longer allowed to sell blends under that name. So we'll just call this Bandit Blend. The story goes that a group of thieves, we'll call them bandits, were robbing sick and dying people during the time of the plague. When they were finally caught they were asked to divulge their secret to avoiding illness in exchange for a lighter sentence. The secret was in the spices so to speak. Thus the recipe for this blend -- a mixture of spices and citrus was born.

Bandit Immune Support Blend:

This blend was adapted from a recipe I found on the Moutain Rose Herb website. The drops recipe will yield about 5 mls, the mls recipe will yeild about 15 mls

Add essential oils to an appropriately sized eurodropper amber bottle cap and mix gently to blend (I like to let my blends sit a bit to synergize). Add 4 to 8 drops to a diffuser and enjoy. Do not apply this mixture undiluted to the skin. Clove and cinnamon are hot and must be used in extremely low dilutions topically.

Bella Immune Support Blend:

If you don't have a lot of essential oils on hand no worries. This blend is made with only three essential oils and is customizable to what you may have on hand. The name comes from BEL -- bergamot, eucalyptus, and lavender.

5 mls Eucalyptus radiata or globulus essential oil

Add the essential oils to a 15 mls amber euro dropper bottle. Cap and mix gently. Add 4-6 drops to diffuser. Do not apply undiluted to the skin. Bergamot is not recommended for topical use due to phytotoxicity concerns. To make smaller amounts simply add equal amounts of the oils to your bottle or diffuser.

Frankly Awesome Blend: This blend not only offers immune support but is also good for the skin. If you don't have orange you can use lemon instead.

0.75 mls Eucalyptus radiata or globulus essential oil

Add the essential oils to a 15 mls amber euro dropper bottle. Cap and mix gently. Add 4-6 drops to diffuser. Add 5 to 15 mls drops of blend per oz of carrier oil or cream to create a chest rub or massage oil. Eucalyptus in not recommended for children under the age of 10.

Bonus Recipe: You've read this far -- I'll share one more recipe:

LLEAP Blend: This blend is easy to make and features peppermint. It's great for respiratory and immune support.

4.5 mls Peppermint (Menta x piperita) essential oil

4.5 mls Lemon (Citrus limon) essential oil

4.5 mls Lavender (Lavendula angustafolia) essential oil

1.5 mls Eucalyptus radiata or globulus essential oil

Add the essential oils to a 15 mls amber euro dropper bottle. Cap and mix gently. Add 4-6 drops to diffuser. do not apply undiluted to the skin. Peppermint and eucalyptus should be used with caution around children under 10.
